calling any Mazak Variaxis guys who use inverse time

Hello all. I have 2 mazak variaxis 730's with matrix controllers. I recently had software updates done to my controllers and updated my posts to X5. I have not been able to get the controller and my post to shake hands on inverse time feedrates since. Can someone try a quick toolpath and post results so I can check against mine. Draw a rectangle centered on the origin 1" x 1". Create a point 6" below the origin. use a curve 5 select the square as your chain and to point for axis control distance increment set to .050. I get:

I'm moving this to the post fourm, maybe some of the post wizards will chime in

 

a couple of things to check

 

Look in your X5 Machine Def on the "Op, Feed Rates, axis motion page

I think you have Min Inverse time set to 1000. It looks like it should be set to a larger number for this machine

probably 10000.

 

There is also a varible in the post

inv_sec : 0 #Inverse feedrate is in seconds

 

if you change the 0 to a 1 it ouptuts in minutes instead os seconds

all the machines I've ever worked with use seconds

 

this is from a mpgen 5X post.. this variable is buring in the bin in my In House posts

so I can't see it or check it. It's not likely that its set wrong but you may want to call and ask if you can't find it.
