IGES files

Hi Everyone - Had to switch jobs because the company I was working

for ran out of money .I was using X5 but know I'm using X at the

small shop I'm working at .Anyways when I try to open and IGES

file all I get is a Blank screen .The other person I work with

uses version 9 and has no problems . So he has to open and save

the parts for me , witch isn't working to well . Any help would

be really appreciated . Thanks in advance .

Hi Kevin,

 

In the level manager, does it appear to have entities in the file? If it does, you may just need to use the un-blank entity option.

There's only one level and there is nothing on it .

The IGES files can be opened in version 9 ?

Check in the "options" dialog box when you go to open the iges and see if there is anything set differently to the v9 file. I cant see anything that would effect the part opening but it may be a good place to start

Can you send me a file that you can't read and perhaps I can figure out from that what's going on.
