HMill the example below will result in a question asking for your name

# string variable Here

sname : 0

#Enter Question Here

fq 1 sname "What is your name?"

pheader$ #Header PostBlock

q1

psof$ #Start of File

"My Name Is : ", sname, e$

The string variable you can put with the rest of the strings General Output would be fine.

The fq I usually put after the formatting section.

The q1 sets up the question so you need to put that in a prep section pheader is one of the first post blocks after pprep so it's a good place to put it.

The line that outputs the question - "My Name Is : ", sname, e$ - can be placed where ever you want the information to be output, by inserting it at the beginning of start of file it will be output after the header info and before the toolpath code.

carful what you wish for. Promps can be a real PITA when testing toolpath output. click click click click. add a Prompt if you want to be Prompted :)

ROR

A prompt for the prompt ?? hahahahahahahaha

The q1 sets up the question so you need to put that in a prep section pheader is one of the first post blocks after pprep so it's a good place to put it.

So i just put a q3 right after the pheader section

pheader$ #Call before start of file

q3

hour = int(time$)

min = int((time$ - hour)* 100)

if hour > 12, hour = hour - 12

if hour = 0, hour = 12

year$ = year$ + 2000
