Grab your more used size uncoated AL end mill and send it out for a zirconium nitride coating (ZrN). When you get it back test it against the uncoated end mill. You'll never go back to uncoated again.

 

I forgot about that, the ZrN is a good coating for aluminum.

^ I don't see anything special about that Fraisa endmill in that video, I'm more impressed at the machine moving that fast.

The last time I checked, Fraisa really really liked their endmills and charged double what everyone else charges. No thanks.

ISCAR

ECA B3 range for Aluminimum - MAX RPM - maintain feed per tooth for loading ... so just depends on RPM available, Full slot cutting.

Finishred and Chatter Free for Stainless and High Temp Alloys. conservative example for a 40 taper machine: 17-4PH 80 m/min 1.5D ap, 1.0D ae (obviously) and fz: .065 per/tooth (excuse the metric system :) )

Day in and day out....gobble gobble.

What is your experience with Fraisa? Especially delivery times etc. I ordered 4 X-generation end mills in march and recieved them yesterday :-D Reseller told me, Fraisa don't have them on stock in main factory in Switzerland. Is it normal in USA too? Fraisa has weird customer care, wait months for tools when other brands can send me tool in one day.
