good evening

its been a while since i stopped by,but here is my dilema.

i'm still using X and just got a new box with windows 7pro 64 bit,

i seem to be having graphic isues.

when i curor over ops manager my view area goes white.it comes back

when i click back in the area however.also zoom by window leaves all kinds of

tracer paths.

the box set up is: win7pro 64 bit

quadro fx 2000 1gig

quad core 2.8 ghz

4 gig ram

i realize mcX can not fully utilize 64 bit,but is it not compatable

with the newer graphics card also? i tried a search on here and ran out of luck.

thanks for your time,

trevor

Are you using Mastercam X?

Not X2 or later?

I believe X3 is the first that supported Win7

I don't even run X2 or X2 because they just don't work well at all

Graphically, they will be a mess.

If it's later, try going config >> screen and uncheck highlight faces.

Also make sure you're running the latest driver from nvidia.com

john,

somehow i new you wold be quick with a reply :)

yes i am still on mastercam X.

it loaded ok and i can open files etc. no problems.

but the graphics seem strange when i scroll over the ops manager.

other than that it is ok. for example dynamic rotate is good.

we were on the phone with DELL today and did try 2 other drivers with no luck.

before i do more pushing to update to X5 i need to cover all my options to be sure.

thanks

trevor

you will get it running, but it will be frustrating and you'll have problems

last year when X5 came out, V9 became an unsupported release and Mastercam had a really good sale

trying to woo diehard V9 guys to X5.

maybe they'll do the same this year when X6 comes out and X falls off the support list..

So you are running the first Mastercam X if I understand you?

The card being to far advance should not be an issue but the version of MC being the first if I am correct can be the issue on how it handles the graphics.

If you try what Gcode says and the issue still there go back to the old option of turning down the Hardware excelaration.

gcode,

thanks, disable desktop composition seemed to fix the graphic issue.

on a side note; will i see significant improvements with upgradeing to x5

on this new box? look a couple posts up to see what im running on this new set up.

thanks,

trevor
