Hasp Setup on Windows 7

I am trying to move our NetHasp to our new Windows 7 PC. When I try to run the Hasp Setup utility it says it is for Windows 98/ME, XP, 2000, etc. But not Windows 7. If I continue it says "Driver Installation Failed". Is there a Windows 7 version of this driver? Or is there something else I need to do? If I am doing something wrong forgive me as I am new to Windows 7. And I have only done this Hasp setup one time a year or so ago.

I also just tried running the install in XP SP3 compatability mode with the same results.

We got it. I didn't realize there was a newer version on the site here. I just assumed that since I just did the MU1 update that it came with the latest version.

I am also having issues installing X2 onto a PC running window 7. If I try and run X2 a little window pops up and says: "Cannot open HASP driver"

 

If I upgrade my NetHasp driver to Ver 5.2 will I also need to get new update "code file". I am reluctant to do any of this until I have all the answers, as I don’t want to cause problems for the other X2/PC’s running windows XP on the network.

No.. the license file is the same

Will X2 even run on Windows 7? It might, but make sure the UAC is turned off. Also make sure you run it in on a 32 bit OS on windows 7 and might even need to run the compatibility mode for XPSP3 as well. Good luck with X2 on a Win 7 64 bit system not even sure if it will run? Maybe someone else can chime in on that one.

I have upgraded my computer to windos7 and now the X3 dosen't load. Says there is a missing file. I tried to reload it but same results. MCBitmap.ocx I think.
