flowine direction on surfaces

I saw the picture. It shows change uv direction, but to what degree can you control it?

Mark it just changes the direction, 90 deg. Perfect for my needs

 

UV direction are perpendicular to the edge of a surface, when it is created.

The flowline reads it and paths it to that direction. MoldPlus flips it if the direction

of your path is not desired for the cut you need to attain

working on a big part right now. Biiiiiiiig. If you saw the toolpath though you would cry - essentially just 30 contour chains. I love robots!

It is an archaic path at best, but it has its purpose and every software i have ever use

has it.

Smartcam has the most fuctionallity with it though....and the graphical toolpath editing of course....

Blend takes longer to calculate, unless you have a monster of a PC with Xeon. The direction of flowline is controlled by the underlying grid seen when the surface is unshaded, nice trick with Mold PLus to be able to change the direction and machine it then. Great tip !
