Dynamic Core Feeding in to material?

I opened an X5 file in X6 and started playing with the 2d dynamic core on a path because I wanted to change where the tool was leading in to the part.

The cutter came down as expected, it started to feed in to the material at my desired feed rate, and then out of no where, the feed jumped up to the feed back to location feed rate and wants to feed IN to the material at the return rate. Once it enters the material it drops back down to my desired feed rate. My programmed feed rate is 20 ipm. My back feed is 300 ipm (older machine). The picture shows the tool leading IN to the material.

Has anyone else noticed this? Our material size varies a bit at times so this could cause a serious problem. Especially in harder metals.

It does not happen in X5. It only happens when I start to change the lead in area (upper left) etc.

How you liking X6 Neurosis?

:(

Its not difficult for me to go back to X5. I only have one file that I have any time on so its not that big of a deal.

The shop owner however has a different opinion. We have had two meetings this morning regarding Mastercam, our maintenance, the crash that happened on the machine this morning because of the clearance move in optirough, and why I continue to persuade them to continue maintaining Mastercam. It was not pretty in here about two hours ago.

BTW, has anyone else noticed that X6 download has been pulled from Mastercams web site?
