Do a cost benefits analysis. A degree just doesn't work for me. However, I don't plan only on my day job to make my life comfortable. I've found investing the money I would have spent on education into other ventures is my best bet.
It's a gamble, but it's the right decision for me. I wouldn't recommend it for everyone.
I have found that things generally work out in life. You already know the right answer for you deep down. Take that answer and run my friend. Everything will work out in the end.
I saw it on a Win7 box at a shop I was touring. Not sure if it was 64. When I asked about it the guy showed me this:
Right click the V9 icon
Properties
Checked Run in 256 colors
Apply
It seemed to work ok. Pirates? I don't know. I'm not as savy as many of you with this kind of stuff.

That only works for the most recent post, it would be nice to jump to the end of every topic.
Hello all,
I'm cutting out a solid chunk of 3# styrofoam today and was wondering if there was anyway to speed this tool path up (High speed area clearance). With a .5" ball endmill my step over is .4, and my plunge is .1 so that should eat some styrofoam pretty fast. I have the feed rate and plunge rate set to the max but when the machine runs the entry helix it slows way down. Is there any way to eliminate that helix and just plunge?
I'm fairly sure my controller is where my problem is, it's an old Allen-Bradley. It still measures memory in meters. I have to stream the program from my server because the machine's memory is far too small. On the helical entry it acts as if there is an "information bottleneck" lots of pauses.
Any insight would be helpful, even if you all can just validate that I'm working in the stone age
Thanks in advance.
Tyson
