I need some help chaining with the new method. In the past (X5 & below) I would first chain the white lines, then chain 2 would be the green lines (& the 1 white line that makes it a closed chain). I need to cut inside the green lines (but start oustide the white line that closes the chain). Can I still use the method I am familiar with? if so, how?

Thanks!

In the chain options window that pops up you need to select "multiple machining regions". your green chain (+ the 1 white line that closes the chain) needs to be picked for "machining regions" and your outer chain (white one) needs to be picked for "avoidance regions".

What do ya know..... a Circle member to the rescue :D

It DOES work as it did originally. You just have to choose "single region" and then select your multiple chains as you had in the past. My experience so far is that it uses the old method for determining stock vs part.

using multiple regions requires you to think a little different. I havent gotten used to it yet.
