Measuring Draft on Surfaces

It seems like we are getting deeper and deeper parts to machine which require longer tools and holders (or go to our 5 axis machine). I know I can go thru a bunch of steps and use analyze--angle-- and add curves to the geometry and change my view to one that's perpendicular to my top workplane, etc to figure out the draft on a part. But is there any easy way to measure the draft of a SURFACE while still in my top workplane?

The analyze --> dynamic function works well for this.

I had not noticed that function on the dynamic button. That will definitely help some.

 

John, I don't use solids much, but I will keep that in mind in case that changes.

where is that function? I'm only in mcx4. Is it in 5 or 6? I searched the help index and couldn't find a listing for it.
