Thanks for the help hardmill . The tool doesn't

look like it's coming over far enough . And when

I converted the polylines to arcs and lines will the

surface be a little rough .Thanks again for any help .

Youll probably need to use a 5 axis toolpath to get it to reach the

geometry like you want.

I have tried to get the tool to cut the

rad in the corner .... and had no luck .

Thanks JParis that looks good - The only problem

is when I verify it clips the part on the back .

i have the unroll checked .... so I'm thinking it

should be ok .The tools moves up after the tool

path and the A axis turns back and tool moves down .

Hopefully it should be OK . Thanks for the help .

Set your retract to 5" and clearance to 4, your gouge will disappear.

 

The roll unroll settings can actually be turned off, that is controlled by the rolldie function instead

For barrel cam slots, use the Rolldie SLOT option, and create geometry at the slot centerline. Then the slot wall will look parallel to the follower.

Oops. Sorry, the solid cam was the reverse of what it appeared to be from the 'lines' level. The same rule applies: Drive the follower center with Rolldie. You may have to offset the solid surface to get the follower center curve.

The toolpath is inverted and the end mill is no coming over far enough .

I put the part in the X6 folder on the ftp site . Thanks for any help .
