I need to cut corners with .076 Radius in 1 1/4" thick H13 tool steel plate. I am roughing with 1/4" and 7/32" ball endmills, but I need to clean the corners. I settled on the Dynamic toolpath, but what do you recommend for depth cuts and toolpath radius? I set stepover to 6%, but I'm not sure what to use for depth cuts, toolpath radius, and feed rate. I am running this part on a Haas EC1600 so I am limited to 6000 RPM.

Are you going through a 1.25 thick plate or is this a pocket? Typically, 1.5 to 2.0 x the dia. of the tool, or full flute length of the tool for depth cuts. This case is special because of the depth and lack of rpm's. There is a link with chip thinning calculators on it that will help with feeds in a more conventional situation. H13 is pretty easy to cut as well. IMO, because of the circumstances here, my preference would be to drill those corners out 1st with a 5/32 drill then approach it without chip thinning. Others may disagree.

Same subject on a more conventional part. http://www.emastercam.com/board/index.php?showtopic=66229
