Post editing help needed - it worked before updating to X6

Recommended Posts

Let me start by saying that I'm not a wire guy, I'm just helping out since I have the most post knowledge here (not much) and I have an account here at the forum. :)

Our wire guy recently upgraded from X2 to X6. I ran his post through the update post chook and now it won't output a M80 like it used to. From looking at the post, I can't tell what needs to be changed to get his M80 back. Here is one of his programs where he has added it in manually. Can someone point me in the right direction?

The M80 doesn't have to go on the same line as the M82 M84, it can be on a line by itself on the previous line.

The post we're using is listed in the topic description. I can post a section of the post if you need it. Just tell me what you need.

M80 is "Fluid On", which turns on the flush pumps.

We appreciate any help.

Wes, I don't know what is calling up the M82 M84. It's not hard coded. The only place it shows up in the post at all is here...

# --------------------------------------------------------------------------

#Power M code selection

sm85 : "M85" #Power off

sm84 : "M84" #Power on

spower : "" #Target for string

fstrsel sm85 power$ spower 2 -1

# --------------------------------------------------------------------------

#Wire M code selection

sm83 : "M83" #Wire off

sm82 : "M82" #Wire on

swire : "" #Target for string

Moderator Wes, :)

I'll try that as a last resort. It bugs me that the same file can be posted in X2 and the M80 is there. I've done a file-compare on the two posts and nothing sticks out. I'd prefer to fix it the "right" way if possible. If it comes down to it, I'll try it, but I'd like to get some more replies first.

Thad,

If the door is open it will only fill to the table, but if it closed it will

fill to the top. The second M78 is not needed. As a quick test take a file

and manually edit the way i suggested load the program and see what it does.
