Thanks for the reply. I have turned on all, reset all, loaded all tool bars and toolbar files. I had the same exact problem with X5, and recently upgraded to X6, and all was fine until I "updated the folder" I should have thought twice.... No it's not the task bar. It's extremely frustrating trying to design a part and not being able to create view/cplanes or rotate them. or at least I don't know another way to do it...

I had this happen in X5 awhile back and here is what fixed it as per Jason @ barefoot cnc. Go into registry editor(regedit), hkey current user, software, cnc software. Make sure mastercam is closed first. Right click on mastercam x5 then rename it (I renamed it mastercam x5-1). Then when you reopen mastercam it thinks its the first time you've run it because of the new registry name. Worked perfectly.

I finally called tech support (imagine that) It was a registry issue carried over from X5. When I used the "Migration Utility" The tech guy suggested that we (consumers) not use that method. Not sure why they don't tell us ahead of time! Any way I had to go into the registry files in current user and delete the X6 folder, A word of advise if you do this, you will lose all customized settings. I copied selected files such as key maps, toolbars etc. to a folder on my desk top. "HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/CNC Software, Inc./Mastercam X6"
