Acramatic 950 ethernet adapter ??

We've got a really nice Cinncinati 5axis mill with an Acramatic 950 control.

We load programs into it via a 3.5" floppy drive.

This is slow and prone to errors..

We get disk read erros all the time and occasionally big blocks of code get dropped.

This leads to some really ugly wrecks.

 

We've called Cinncinatti and they want to sell us a whole new control. (when they bother to return the call)

 

I'm looking for an ethernet ( or RS232???) adapter to eliminate the 3.5" floppy.

Does anyone have a good lead for something like this??

that is a great machine in need of more computer power.

i've worked on the 850 (color crt touch screen pretty trick for it's day). IIRC we had to get the control to chop up the program in chunks that it could handle. ooold skool.
