spindle speeders

Hey guys so we had and I mean had a spindle speeder.Last night one of our operaters warmed up a nice lyndex 7.5 to 1 speeder rated for 25000 max at 10000 rpm and blew the damn thing up so we are in a bind.The boss does not want to shell out 8k plus for a new one and I cant find a cat40 taper on ebay.Does anyone know of a website other than ebay that sell used ones? Any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Wow that sucks. Don't know about used ones but I would I would recommend modifying your tool change macro to set max spindle speed parameters for the tool to limit the chances something like this happening again.
