Radius or Step movements

I just wanted to confirm on this:

 

There are two passes in this code sharing the same toolpath.

 

The only difference as you can see if you has stepped movements to make up the radius and the other doesnt.

 

The first toolpath is chosen with the "Chain" option

The second with the "Partial" option.

 

Does this make the difference in code it generates to move in a radius movement ?

I get splines in DXF's just about as often as I do on models. So to say you are working from a DXF and are randomly having this problem doesn't surprise me at all. Analyze the geometry that is creating the straight lines. It will show a spline instead of an arc more than likely. If that is the case you are going to want to use the arc filter tolerance setting to smooth it out.
