5 axis machine setup in mastercam?

We have purchased our first 5 axis mill, and I am working on getting it running. The machine builder said that all the axis do not line up, and its typical. The table and the tilt, and rotation axis all do not run through the same point by a little bit. is there any way to set it up through the machine definition to have all the axis off from each other and then when it posts it will compensate for that?

What kind of 5x machine is it?

Its a Leadwell, Pretty much all generic fanuc control. Its an Fanuc 0i.

Absolutely.... AFAIK, (no professional training yet) that is handled inside the post. Could be set up to use misc. reals....

 

Will you be doing full simultainius 5axis work, or just positioning?

Did you get a custom post written for the machine?

If so the post developer will need to know what the difference is between the center of rotation for the trunnion and the intersection of the rotary.
