Lathe Enhancement Request

I wound like to put in an enhancement request for the grooving tool path. Is it possible to make the finish passes not have to come from both sides and meet in the middle.

I was having a problem with chatter on my part and realized with top notch holder I should keep the cutting pressure towards the holder. But the current grooving toolpaths do not allow me to do this. Right now I have to write a finish toolpath to make it go in the direction I want.

In your finish groove parameters page, under the overlap section, you can change the method to "select overlap". In the picture attached I have selected the endpoint of the back chamfer for both points of the overlap and the result is one nice clean finish pass. Have a play with these settings and see what you can get!

+1 for this request, it doesn't take much time but I cut a lot of air with a fake line way out of the way. They have entry for both passes, why not the ability to eliminate the second pass? Good idea.
