Stock to leave on walls

When I set the "stock to leave on walls" in my settings say when I'm milling a pocket ramping down, if I set it to say .01 is that .01 total or is that .01 per side? I know kind of a stupid question but it's something I have been asks and don't know the answer.

It's per wall. The little picture shows how far away the cutter is from each wall.

cool trick, you can put a negative number in that field to over-cut

negative is sweet for mold sealoff's

i use negative when i have to allow for plating build up. just put in a negative value of

the plating thickness and undercut the part by that amount. really saves on having

to redraw a wire frame for plating allowances.
