what are you using to open catia files

Currently we have been using adobe acrobat pro extended 9. Sometimes I lose surfaces during translation to iges, step or parasoilds.

The main issue is that the catia model has pilot hole drill vectors with line numbers called out in the tree. I want to save these vectors with the part so I can open in MXC.

The attached pic is from acrobat .these are the line #s for the different pilot hole vectors . Our buyer always sends revisions that often call out line #s to omit.

Spaiceclaim is the only product ive seen that does everything I want. (just hard to get the boss to spend $5000 just to open a file)

I have autodesk inventor which translates the files nicely but they don't support the PMI or MBD model tree.

here is a clearer pic of what I need. notice how the vectors have a line # in the tree. I need to export these vectors in with the part into MCX via step iges parasoild....... sometimes I can find them in mcx if I un blank the screen but theres a million other lines ,planes, etc.... to filter threw which can take hours to do.

Obviously I had to cover up the part number and most of the part so I don't get in trouble lol...........

After you click your entity on the screen you may need to click the sync with selection button for it to highlight on the tree.

If you want you can also just click the line you want on the catia tree, then click in the empty space on your part window, do an alt+e to hide everything else and it will show you the entity you're looking for.
