Creating Lathe profile

Hi all just learning mastercam Using x5 right now. Brought in a sldprt file. I set the center of the part at x, y, z zero Than saved as a mastercam file. I did have planes set to D+ Z+ I set level one as solid. I made a new level called profile and that was active. I than went to create profile picked all entities. The box came up where spin was picked .001 box was checked and I choose upper profile. clicked on check mark. When the profile appeared, it was was larger than the part Can some one please help ?

The "Slice" option may be what you are looking for.

The profile looks good to me. If you are using X5 and having hard time creating geometry from your solid, you can use Solid/ trim function and trim it as a plane.

Profile is perfect....

Can you elaborate on what you think is incorrect?

You can select the solid as well.

shouldn't the profile be the same as the solid It looks bigger I thought I followed everything to the letter I figured it would all be on the same x lines

You may want to start using the analyze function.
