X7 MU1 Lathe_Disable stock update

I don't use lathe much these days.

This afternoon I was knocking out quick contract job and noticed

something new in the Lathe Ops Manager

 

Right Click.. then look at the very bottom.

There is a flyout labeled

 

Lathe Stock Update

with 2 choices,

enable and disable.

 

I tried changing it but didn't see any difference with either setting.

If fact I could see no indication that it was set either way.

 

What does this setting do.??

 

Another one I noticed was Stock Preview

This looks very cool and looks to be the perfect thing for building stock models

for subsequent operations

The stock update works good. If you shut it off then make a lathe op, the stock will not be updated to reflect your newly created op.

I don't think it works with previously created ops.

I can tell if it's on or off by... see attached pic.
