Lathe - Optimize cutter comp in control - how to turn off?

For some reason the cutter comp in control box is checked in the lathe toolpaths. We don't want to use it ever, and it is deselected in the lathe defaults.

 

Does anybody else have trouble with this and know how to turn it off?

I suppose you did click " Save default setting" huh?

And you are using control as your compensation type? It is only available as an option when that is the case.

The help menu states this option is set as a default within the control definition.

I got an email from my retailer saying they talked to Mastercam and were told it's a known bug, ID number D-0964.

 

Looks like I'm going back to X6 for lathe programming.

In the control definition/cutter compensation there is a check box for optimize toolpath that is checked by default. But even when the box is unchecked and the defaults are modified to deselect the box it still comes up checked in the operation manager.

Interesting. After changing in the control def & op defaults the optimize box comes up unchecked when I do a new path. (I just tried again and verified)
