    No problem, welcome to the forum! If dealing with "dumb solids" (solids without history) try using the new "Modify Solid Feature" command in X7. It works great for quickly filling in holes, cavities etc.

    Are you dealing with Surfaces as opposed to Solids? If so, use the "Fill Holes..." command.

    Oh I see, no problem! Did you try filling in the holes with the solids or surfacing options in the original file?

    When you import toolpath operations, they come in "dirty" because they are not associated to any geometry in the new file. Under each toolpath, select "Geometry" and pick the respective holes/contours etc. And with respect to showing the tapped holes are gone, I thought you said you imported the new part from PROE? Does the new file not reflect the two tapped holes as removed?

    How are your monitors set up? Do you have 1 or 2 screens? - If you only have 1 screen, I would suggest the print bundles. It is easy and convenient to have Mastercam open while also having the book open in front of you. - If you have 2 screens, I would suggest Ebooks. You could then have Mastercam open on one screen, and the PDF on the other screen. Just an idea...

    Hi Baddawg, It would be a good idea to contact your re-seller and look into some training. However, I would imagine you have little to no time to leave the shop right now, given the circumstances. The Training Tutorials sold on here are very helpful for learning the interface, drawing, and toolpathing. They are done in a step by step format. If it is 2d work you do primarily, I would suggest the Mill 1 TT, and if you do indexing, the Indexing Training Tutorial as well.

    Are you looking for a setting in backplot, or the setting in your parameters? In your toolpath parameters, at the bottom of the tree view list, there is a rotary axis control page. You can change your rotary axis rotation settings there. Is that what you are looking for?

    Do you have all the maintenance updates installed? Also, the few times I've seen an issue with screen sizes, the fix has been in the registry. However, if the fix for this is in the registry, I wouldn't know exactly what it is...

    Are you working on a nethasp? If so, I believe you need to copy your nethasp.ini file into your cimco folder. ** oh you are using a demo copy, not quite sure about that

    Use the create line endpoint command. In the ribbon bar you will see a "Tangent" option. Select that and it will do the trick.

    To fix your cimco problem: Select settings, configuration, go into the start / exit page and then at the bottom of that page change your editor to Cimco. That should do the trick.

    It will say Mastercam X6 MU2 in the top left corner of your screen.

    Yeah sorry Mig, I do not believe there is a way to only change the colour of the name of the group. Those settings apply to everything in the operations manager.

    In the upper right hand corner of your operations manager, beside the x, there is a drop down arrow. Select that and then select font. You can then change the font colour. However, that will change the colour of all the fonts in the operations manager, not just the toolpath group. Does that help?

    Once complete, if you select the screen statistics icon, does it say there are any entities on the screen?

    Is everything set up properly on the start/exit page in your configuration? On that page, if you select your custom toolbar files etc. it should load those up as a default when you start mastercam.

    I am wondering if you are setting your depths incrementally? Because from part to part, that would cause a difference in the value you are getting as it would be based on your chained geometry. If that makes sense.

    FYI, I just ran into this problem with a customer. He was running X5 Mu1 and was getting the profile is not correct error. On top of that, it was affecting some toolpaths by only putting out straight line segments and not following the contour. We installed an outstanding windows update on his computer and the issues went away. I don't remember what the windows update was exactly but I believe it was the update for windows 7 x64 systems.

    Did it change any other settings other than the line width? Would you be able to put the file on here for somebody to take a look at it?
