"Boolean Remove will result in a disjointed body"

What if I want a disjointed body? Is there a way to cut a solid in half?

 

I'm using x6

 

It seems like this should be pretty straight forward???

I figured it out...use boolean remove using a "dummy" solid. I was trying to extrude-cut using wireframe geometry and it didn't like that

If you are using wire to cut make sure it over laps the solid some times you need to extend just pass the edges of the solid then cut or split.

That was true on version 9, but I seldom, if ever, see that on newer versions of Mastercam. That did many improvements in solids since v9. I am able to cut right on the edge.
