i just mill a part using dynamic core mill.

after that, i use facing to mill the rest of the material on the face and the side wall.

but i find that facing will over cut the wall side.

is there any way to set the check point of facing to avoid that happen?

i post a pic and the  MCX-7 file to make it easy to understand.

any help will be great thankful.

I prefer the easiest solution, I would use 2D Contour and Multi Passes .. then just do the one line in the corner.. make multiple passes to step over till you get there, and in entry/exit params you can extend length by 75% tool diameter  to make sure you start and finish off the work..  IMO the Facing toolpath is going to keep giving you headaches in this situation.

Funny you are trying to put a round peg in a square hole and wonder why the hole keeps coming out round. Facing means to remove material from the face of a part not to use the facing cutter. You are trying to contour a part with a tool that is capable of it, but need to have a better understanding of the application of certain aspects of the software and when and how to use them effectively. Everyone pointed you in the correct direction hopefully you got some better understanding and it helped you go in a better direction with your process.
