Hi guys

I am trying to set up my probing/probe.  I have now heard through our local Mastercam salesman that this "ad-on" software "Productivity +" ONLY functions with a Renishaw probe?????  Is anyone else using the "in-built" probing software within Mastercam, using a different brand of probe?

I have a MARPOSS - T25 probe.

Cheers

Justin

Justin, You will want to go to the Post Thread and do a search on Post Modifications for probing. I have made and responded to many topics about it over the years. Like they said for the Renishaw products so I will go way out on a limb and say not going to work well with MARPOSS probe.

You'd have to use the Renishaw probing routines and macros, without a doubt. The Prod + software was written by Renishaw for Renishaw and if you wanted to use different macros, you'd have to edit the Renishaw post, and that is heavily encrypted.

As for using a different brand probe body, while I couldn't speak for experience, I would say that as long as it only uses a G31 skip signal to trip the machine, it might work.
