Has anyone used this cutter? We would be cutting a .500 radius in gray PVC. Would this cutter last longer than a three flute carbide tipped cutter?

I've used a lot of these

they are not cheap, but they work well 

and in the long run, inserts are cheaper than buying a new tool

These cutters are great, like gcode said they are not cheap, but flipping a new insert in is easier and more cost effective for production runs. We have also made custom cutters and just used the inserts. The inserts overlap so there is virtually no mismatch between inserts.

When I'm looking at tooling the last thing I look at is price. My first concern is time and then endurance. Will I be able to ramp speeds enough with this one flute cutter to keep up with or surpass a three flute carbide tipped cutter and will it last at least half as long? If it can then it's a no brainer.
