MCfSW Verify and 3D mice

3D Connexion devices haven't worked in MCfSW Verify for a while now

They released new drivers this morning that fix this problem

Great to late. and they suck inside of SW now. need to get the last drivers I had back in.

yes, they are a real mess

they are ok for straight SW, but if you load MCfSW things go south in a hurry

downloaded and installed.... everything seems to be working normally

and my Space Pilot Pro can move the stock in MCfSW Verify

it works correctly in part files but not in assembly files

it gets weirder

if I set add-ins to load mcfsw on launch I have trouble

if I launch SW, the go to Add-in's and turn on mcfsw, I don't have any problems

Really, that is strange.

enable both 3D Control and MCfSW on the Add-in page

Close SW and relaunch

watch the splash screen

MCfSW loads first, then 3D Control

I'm thinking something MCfSW loads interferes with something in 3D Control ,, and that's causing a problem

Hi LeoC,

 

You should be all set now. With Gcodes help we were finally able to track it down to some very old SW configuration settings. He had been migrating his SW option settings from one SW version to the next starting from as early as SW 2002 ish. Mine on the other hand were new to SW2015 and everything worked fine. Once we reset his system the crashing went away. He does however still get an occasional unsupported View matrix error if:

1. he's in an assembly
2. has the MCfSW add-in loaded
3. and the mouse focus is in a function that does not support 3D mice, like the SW Feature tree
4. and you continually try to force it to rotate the part. 

I still haven't been able to reproduce this here on any of our systems but I also haven't given up yet.
