WHAT TOOLS AND TOOLPATH????

HELLO EVERYONE!!!!!

 

 

I have same  knifes  to machining  all contour ,same places was re welded and is very hard .All part is over 40 HR. To Finishing teeth I can not use the tools   greater than 3/4  .I tried carbides  ,high speed toolpath and after 2nd part the endmill was dull.Do you have any ideas??? Part  has a 2 inch  thickness

Since you are showing a 2D part I have to assume that you are doing 2D tool paths.  Your problems are probably related to feeds and speeds.  Can you be more explicit about what you are trying to machine?  Like posting a file with the tool paths you already made?

most problems i have with roughing teeth after welding ,I tried to use the .5 carbide finish enmill and i make 2 pcs .after rough i cut all contour i use .75 sumitomo insert emill ramping contour .025 step dawn .1500 rpm and 75 ipm .for rough teeth .5 carbide finish 2500rpm and 90 ipm  and .01 step dawn .

Are those for a metal shredding machine?  Probably pretty hard weld on them.

5 carbide finish 2500rpm and 90 ipm

I don't work with welded steel on a regular basis but if I had to cut what you are showing I'd go about 1500 rpm and maybe 10-12 ipm.

Your Ramping Zig-Zag on an outside contour with the 1/2" EM, that's a No-go with hardened steel.

I just made a new contour in your trouble area.  I won't be fast, but it should get the job done....

 

If you have a corner radius on your 1/2" EM it will last a LOT Longer

I a deal With COSTOMER  , and , I  can use 5/8 ENMILL   in the corners  Is not it better to use the      full deep and change toolpath on  MULTI PASSES?????
