M10 BY 1 TAPER PLUG

Need Help,

I have a call out for a m10 by 1  hole for a tapered plug. I've searched high and low for info on a m10 by 1 tapered taped tap . I could not fine a tapered metric tap in any size. What i came up with was that you tap the tapered hole with a standard m10 by 1 tap. Is this correct info.

Could they be calling a regular plug tap?

 

It will have a tapered end for starting the thread, perhaps an engineer doesn't understand that he doesn't need to specify that and it;s causing the confusion.

 

I would ask the customer, that's my bet
