MC Maintenance

   Just wondering if any of you guys company had to drop MC Maintenance because of the economy in your area.

We never had to do this before, now can't even get on the MasterCam forum, they put us on non-maintenance area with nothing on it?

No.  Dropping maintenance is only viable if you plan to phase out using the software.  If you ever want to update in the future you will be paying through the nose; essentially paying back-maintenance until it gets to the price of a new seat.

I recently reneged on a job offer, partly because they were not on maintenance. To me it says something ability the stability of a company.

 

In my opinion, you'll find more answers on this forum anyway. Their forum is for current customers, their non-maintenance is dead for good reason, you can come here

I dropped our maintenance a few weeks back after a policy change in regards to file formats for educational institutes. We are slowly moving to Siemens NX.

 

I think you should always review your software program each year to see if it is meeting the needs of your operation.
