mastercam specific virus?

are there any mastercam specific viruses?  we recently got a new hire, he had some programs he had done and wanted me to take a look.  ever since then mcam is behaving weird but the rest of my pc is behaving.  my antivirus also finds 32 "threats" every time I scan it.  So what ever it is, is coming back.

 

any thoughts?

Did he bring in his own config?

 

Sometimes configs off of different systems can cause some whacky problems because of the path naming differences....

 

You might try shutting down...rename your config .old

 

restart mastercam, see if it's better on a new config

 

AFAIK, there is not a Mastercam specific virus though some may argue Mastercam is itself a virus

a quick check is to open your config file in a text editor and see if any of the file paths look hinky

sometimes opening a file from another system can change a path in your config.

Then Mastercam gets lost trying to follow a path that doesn't exist

To explain my comment - only joking because of previous history/releases.

I will say that 9 for us (2 seats) is superb, and after disabling adaptive quality in the verify settings, hasn't locked up once.
