Drawing an extruder in solids

I am trying to draw a tapered varying pitch extruder(auger) in solids. I used spiral helix to create the center of extruder spline, but I am not sure how to make this into a solid. Any help would be appreciated

What you want is solids, sweep.

Solids may not help this job. Variable pitches are best laid out in the flat. You need to float an arc between the starting pitch and the ending pitch, in the flat. You may be able to cut the auger with ROLLDIE, depending on its shape.

Thanks for the help I was able to do it with the sweep method.

+100 John statement. I found you lose edge defintions in the sloilds or even surfaces when doing parts fo this nature. I like the Rolldie that John has got me hooked on know. It output code that is more to your liking and it is also visable in the finished code as well as the quality of the part. i have had parts in th parts in the past where i had to paly with the geomenty to get it as clean as I wanted where as with rolldie is neat clean and does a good job for Machining.
