limit 2 surfaces 1 6" dia. pipe to 1 60" dia. tank

Hi how do i limit 2 surfaces, one  is 6" dia. pipe to a 60" dia. tank?

this company do a lot of welding and it is usually a big pipe to a biger tank.

and i have to program a 4 axis mill to produce a 45 degrees chanfer for the welding.

I am not quite sure what you mean by limit. But you might be able to use a large size ball endmill and try contour with 3d chamfer. Not sure how accurate the chamfer needs to be prior to weld.

Do you mean model it in Mastercam and Machine it?

 

Create/Surface/Fillet/click options for chamfer and then chamfer
