CONTOUR X,Y,Z RAMP, ACR ALARMS ON FANUC CONTROL

I am contour ramping internal pockets, on 2 parts a right hand and a left hand, in alu..... the 2 programs are the same and each part has 2 pockets... the first part ran great and the second part ran up to a z depth of  z- .7952. note that my z depth in the program is -.8 and that the contour is set to RAMP MOTION, DEPTH OF .375 , ONE WAY RAMPING FOR OPEN CONTOURS, MAKE A PASS AT FINAL DEPTH, LINEARIZE HELIXES SET TO .0005      IT IS ALARMING OUT at that depth,

 

 

I copied the tool paths from the first part and just gave them the new geometry.....

 

anyone know what may cause this to not work ...any ideas

I am having a rough time understanding you. What is the error, what are the 5 lines before and the 5 lines after and what controller? OR is this an error in Mastercam?

It is on the arc filter page...but by looking at the code it is doing something weird...

 

Try changing ramp depth to .37 instead...I bet your pocket is 3/8" deep too....give that last cut some stock

Nope.  Do you have a helix height on your lead in/out?

It trying to make a tiny helix ramp move in tenths...you control is not liking it...

 

Got to find a way to change those strings...

 

You can also change the linking depth .0001.

 

I had a control once that would error on certain string combinations....all I did was to manually change the 4th decimal place on the error block one tenth on the Z and it would go through.

oh that is CC error... problem is with your lead in/out.

 

Try setting arc radius to 0 and just come off with a line.
