Has anyone bought any books or cd's to help train others in the shop. We have a list of teaching material and was wondering which would be good to buy (if any):

Learning Seris Mill Projects and Applications by CNC Sortware, Inc.

Mastercam Training Tutorials by In-House Solutions, Inc.

Just-In-Time by In-House Solutions, Inc.

Mastercam Training Tutorials by CNC Software, Inc.

Mastercam Training Series by Dr.S.C.Jonathon Lin & Dr.F.C. Tony Shiue

Thanks

Jody

I teach at a Trade School. We used the Scholars books for Version 7 training. We currently use the In-House Solutions Training Manuals for Version 8. The In-House books tend to be more accurate. The Scholars books tend to give more detail.

The In-House books BTW are less expensive.

Either of these would be a good choice.

That's my $.02

Hi

I teach both in a Vocational Trade School where my students are from industry.

I also teach on site to industry and use Books by CNC Software and Inhouse.

Best of all I teach how to use the help menu in Mastercam. Most of your answers can come from there.

It is all content sensitive help.

I find the best way to teach Mastercam inhouse at a company is to get some prints and make your own "lesson plans."

This way you will teach what nees to be taught and not some useless knowledge.

See www.cadcamcnc.com/stories.htm what I have proven in teaching Mastercam.

Best regards,

George
