Generic 5 Axis post can be used, but would be a complete waste of time in my opinion. Talk to your dealer and get a 3rd Party post and be done with it. Time you start looking at G54.5 or G43.5 and then G68.2 that the Generic posts don't handle well you are better off investing in post technology that is not from the V9 days, but was developed in the last few years.

That's what I thought I would hear,  and i have been searching the forum and that's pretty much what all post's have lead too.  I got a quote from my reseller for a Postability post for that machine.  How much back and forth did it take getting the post dialed in.  We also have Vericut with an accurate machine model for this machine.

Not much is any since you have Vericut. Having a proven Verification solution it vital to helping anyone prove out a post before it every goes to the machine.

There will be some back and forth.  The less you care about or the fewer preferences you have the faster it will be.  I'm picky and know exactly what I want so some back and forth was entirely to suit me.  They obliged every time.  I'm happy.
