axis rotation real number

I am looking to setup a variable for axis rotation.

 

This is the output I am getting

N140 K mr1$ .1122

and this is the code

n$, "K", mr1$ , e$

I am trying to get it to look like

 

 

N140 K.1122

Go into your post and add a Format Assignment line to "format" 'mr1$' for output.

 

fmt    "K"   2   mr1$

 

Then, remove the literal "K" string from your output...

mr1$ has to be defined and formatted to K. Then when you call mr1$ you will get K as an output that amount. Like X, Y, Z and many other values they are just numbers out of the NCI. It is the formatting that controls the way it looks.

I was looking at that and thought the fmt was the right place to go, but i didn't know what number to use. What does the 2 mean?

"2" is one of the Format Statements. A Format Statement tells MP how to define the "number" portion of a variable. In your case, if you are using a Generic Fanuc post from Mastercam as a starting point, means that "2" uses the "4 place decimal (inch), 3 place decimal (metric)". So it is "up to 4 decimal digits" for output. If the output is less than 4 digits, it only outputs the needed places. The number "0.41" as input would output "0.41". But the number "0.043321", would output "0.0433"...
