Toolpath Allocation

Hello,

Does any body else have problems with toolpath memory allocations? I have 1 gig of ram, but MC won't let me use more than 256k.

I've had a toolpath allocation problem when

running files containing large solids.

The parasolid kernal would eat up all my ram

and I'd get a tool path allocation error when I

tried to regen or backplot a toolpath.

LOWERING my toolpath allocation setting in screen config fixed the problem

+1000 to gcode

 

If your config is set too high, it will give you toolpath allocation errors. I have mine set to 128,000, as well as database alloctions.

 

If you are just doing 2D and primitive 3D, the factory setting is OK.

I've always set mine to 128,000 and 128,000 when running machines with 512MB or more or RAM and had no problems.
