Surface High Speed OptiRough extend depth

I am wondering if there is a way to have my tool come down beyond the edge of the drive  surface, kind of like if you have a tool in a circle pocket extending beyond the bottom edge of the hole for a finish pass. If i use a negative value for my floor stock, it just offsets the entire toolpath down by that distance.

Picture for clarity

EDIT: without creating a lot of extraneous geometry

Thank you

IMO, get used to this...many times the best result will be with additional geometry

JM2C YMMV

Use Steep/Shallow: Use Z depths checked, and set the maximum material below the part what ever you want it to come down.

In my case this worked perfectly, thanks for the direction

Flat plane drawn at the depth you want and picked how much extra work is that?

Millan, yes offsetting the bottom face as a surface worked as well, but I figured there had to be a parameter for it somewhere.

Multiple solutions as always!

Thanks again.

Sorry I was talking about drawing a rectangle and using surface when drawing it. Pick the Z depth you want to cut to and you can use your boundary as the points if a rectangle. If not then you can project your boundary to the Z depth you want and then make a flat boundary out of it.
