( TOOL - 6 OFFSET - 6 )

( CROSS DRILL UNDEFINED )

( C-axis Cross Drill )

N100 G14

N102 G0 X-565.686 Z-250. M05

N104 M110

N106 G136

N108 T0606 SB=100 M241 M12 M87 M9

N110 G0 X94. Z0.

N112 C45.

N114 G94

N116 G181 X90. I94. F100.(DRILLING CYCLE)

N118 X63.64 (WRONG)

N120 X0. (WRONG)

N122 X63.64 (WRONG)

N124 G180 (CANCEL DRILLING)

N126 M9

G136

After the G181 drilling it should just output different C axis positions.

I have rotary button set to C axis.

Gcode

In side view create point next menu bolt circ.

Ex: 8 points on a pcd of your choice.

Toolpath C axis cross drill

Now with T/plane and C/plane set to 3 select points.

The machine drills the points ratating the C axis to each point this is what im after but when i post it its not right. The drill will be positioned in z and y.Then only C should change and go threw the drilling cycle.

on a bolt circle i always used the c and t plane for the first hole then a transform-rotate opp. never could seem to get the c-axis toolpaths to work right. always used mill toolpaths for drilling and milling

------------------------------------

We have the CNC lathe Moriseiki SL-25Y with 4th axis,

but I never done with mill toolpaths yet,

Lathe guy, how do you set c and t plane for using

mill toolpaths?

thanks

on face tools i just set the c/t plane to side then, c/t plane-rotate and rotate it at the correct angle. for cross tools i use a line defining the centerline of hole and set the c/t plane normal to this line. you may need to flip or rotate. just a note in face work: z+ should always be AWAY from the chuck. in cross work: the x+ axis will be TOWARDS chuck end.
