on a bolt circle i always used the c and t plane for the first hole then a transform-rotate opp. never could seem to get the c-axis toolpaths to work right. always used mill toolpaths for drilling and milling
------------------------------------
We have the CNC lathe Moriseiki SL-25Y with 4th axis,
but I never done with mill toolpaths yet,
Lathe guy, how do you set c and t plane for using
mill toolpaths?
thanks

Merge only brings in geometry. If you want operations brought in, right click inside the Operation Manager and click Get from library...
----------------------------
You have to save the operation that you want brought into library first, then Get from library

Gcode,
-------------------------------------------
Many times a regular surfacing toolpath
will not give you the results you want.
You can...
1. Create a 2d pocket toolpath that meets
your requirements
2. Backplot, saving the geometry
3. Trim or modify the geometry if needed
4. Project the geometry onto a surface as
a 3d toolpath.
----------------------------------------------
I never done backplot, saving the geometry before, so after I save and modify geometry
the next step is toolpath, surface, and project
on Curve, is that right?
