I seached and found this toppic covered before in previous X2.
I found in "Settings, Configuration, Toolpath Manager function" I can set nc file name = MCX file name. But some how it not work when you RENAME the file to the new name
Do I miss some setting ?
For now I have to use RMB and type new nc file name.
Can it automatic pickup new MCX file name?
Thanks
Roger,
We do alot of milling and drilling with compound angle on aircraft parts. The drawing were created by hand about 30 years ago, 99% of them we don't have cad file, So we just create some 2d wire frame geo with points, lines and arcs for toolpath.
I already looked into other options, but in this case none of them meet our need.

It's an extra click or two but I wouldn't let it keep me from using X2, Depend on your application: simple job = yes , complex job has more than 50 T/plane to create = No

Prodrill Prodrill need 3d solid cad file.
That why we went crazy for this bug.

Are you creating your planes from the "planes" button or from the "View Manager"?
Both way, we get the same result. It create new origin position where geo is drawn.

What is drill sax?? He mean 5-axis drill toolpath
Jay,

If you are running Level one you can add the Drill 5ax.
The other programmers have Level 1 only. Need add on licence for Drill 5ax.
Gcode,

How do you build your toolpanes for 3+2 work?? We pick Plane by normal to a line, solid face.... We used this method for last ten years without any problems.
This was reports a bug, So we need it fix
Thanks
Bump !!!!!!!
This bug was reported long time ago, and It still didn't fix with X2MR1Sp1
This Bug affected our regular daily jobs, So all our programmers refused to use X2
Anybody have same problems, Please input
Cplane and Tplane with Origin changed.
This problem was bring up before and it was reported " bug #cnc00020003 ". please, check link below

X2 MR1 was samething, they didn't fix this bug#cnc00020003 yet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CNC Software, Please take a look.
There are so many options which you are going to love it, I cannot name them all. I just list whatever I see benefit for us:
-Supports 1 up to 4000 simultaneous
-Use the same cable you had (RS232)
-Powerful remote request and save nc file, from machine by operator, you don't need to walk back and forth
-Log file, so I can track

wfcPain : Glad to help
Eric : Yes, so far I don't have any problems, unless you have specific issue, that I am not aware off. Do you have example ?
------
In toolparameter page turn on "Ref. point", turn off every thing excepted use retract and Z value only, You can control the retact by Abs or Inc.
-----
" Verisurf_HoleAxis "
Is it work with arc wire frame only or it work with solid?
I've tried with solid, but it didn't work at all, maybe I did something wrong ?

We do alot of work required 3 + 2 Axis (5-axis index Machine), A part has alot compound angel holes, We positon GEO relate to center of rotation. So we use WCS alway = Top, Origin always = X0 Y0 Z0, and control compound angle holes by Cplane and Tplane normal to line or arc ... relate to pivor point.
It work fine with V9 and previous Version. With X2 after we pick up new Cplane and Tplane, we have to reset all Cplane and Tplane to Origin X0 Y0 Z0 before we make toolpath. If we donnot reset to X0,Y0,Z0 we get wrong coordinate X Y and Z relate to pivor point.
The option "set new origin" should give my choice pick new origin or not. But it seem doens't work right ?
Is It a Bug ?
Thanks
