I use Code Expert for posts for all of the built in functions, that are specifically for posts. But I use Cimco for G-code, simply because the colors make finding things easier, such as linear to rapid transitions, M-codes and comments.

so what do you find different on the colors in code Expert to Cimco? I am sure you know you can change the colors based on what codes just like CIMCO and you can change the fonts were they seem a little bolder in CIMCO but you can do the same in CE.

Folks please share with us what you want to see in Code Expert that help make that your default.

    Thanks for all your input.

In code expert I have trouble with doing multiple machines with DNC. It doesn't give me a dropdown menu like cimco.

Code expert uses CIMCO for communications but does not give you an option to pick different machines?

  3. Ok, now finding out that the Swept was a wire path of 2D-swept were he is expecting 3D cuttercomp.

    This was my reply:
OK, we show and option for Wear in the setting but in this case the tool path is to act like a standard surfacing path were we compensate for the Tangent of the tool rad . so the issues is you are expecting a compensation in multi-able directions based on the G41 asking to do a  3D comp and most machines cannot handle this. so if you review the path output you are not seeing the G41 as this is not a straight leaner comp 2D comp.

A the thought for getting Wear to work and why is there. if your machine supported 3D cutter comp then post modes would be needed to be made so the post would see this in the B-NCI.

    I hope this helps.

    Ahh...  so thank you Jason,

for prompting me to figure out viewsheets. I see  how they will save time now.

when you create a view sheet this is what it is looking at and the ones with the check marks are what is save. So set the part part on the screen how you want it and all other setting then save bookmark setting and now every time you select that tab it will set all the options and set the part how you want to view it.

Do think there is a call for an example video of a view sheet shown and setting them?
