  1. I see..... okay. Do you know any tutorials or step guides that I can refer to?
  2. Soooo is there any way I can relate my components with each other just like I can do it in Solidowrks? For example, please refer to the cad image below. It is an assembly. Now, we want to copy what we see in machine to here. The central rode is longer in cad file while shorter in reality. Coz of that, total heigh of the part is offsetting by that difference. I want to cut that part in MasterCam (that I can do -> Make the rectangle in front, and cut extrude) Now, I want to re-relate the part and top fixture to this cut geometry. How can I do that? I was thinking translate could be one option. But curious, if there is any other way or something to do it in quicker or more efficient way or anything I am missing. Thank you for your answers in advance!
  3. I see..... I use Mastercam all the time but while we were discussing about automation integration in our company, we just thought it'd be nice if we all can work on one single MasterCam/Cadd realtime platform.
  4. Sometimes I feel like you are bots of MasterCam just like how other social platforms have
  5. Just curious, if MasterCam planning to make Cad part of MasterCam, or MasterCad or something? I know there are CAD importing and re-working capabilities but wondering if it is planning for full -stack CAD platform like SOLIDWORKS?
  6. We have the same machine. Just bought it. Still exploring the capabilities. Not running at full potential.
  7. I see....... THank you SUPA is removed now. This was really helpful
  8. Let me try with messing with above parameters. One thing that I would like to remove is THe code on left cycle32 till G01 Z-.4591. Is repeating throughout my 62 passes. Ideally I am thinking, it should be like after one pass, the tool retracts a bit, arcs in and goes down in z. Somewhere I am doing something wrong. It is giving SUPA X0 Y0 to move all the way up.
  9. So the thing is... it is doing in very first pass. After one pass, it goes all the way up like it is re-setting and then plunging directly in. Ideally the tool should be down . instead after each pass goes all the way up and hits the part with 25 plunge rate.
  10. Okay I might be doing something stupid but... In 5 axis curve toolpath, in linking parameters, feed plane is set to 1.0 incremental. I am understanding that the tool slows down at feed plane and then plunges at the given feed rate instead of using plunge rate. However my machine goes boom with the part. AM i missing something?
  11. Hello, I made this Ti 6AL-4v part for the first time in Mastercam. I am mostly used to milling Aluminum but this time we have got this Ti part to mill. I was wondering, if anyone, if get a chance, could take a look and comment if this is the right way to mill / the toolpaths used are correct for milling titanium. I really really appreciate the time and efforts people are putting into this to help me! I will always be grateful!! The part is about 40mb. I have uploaded to google drive, below is the link. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1btKPkvjTnP4eQAfp2ctjYuYAnMGlqFXJ/view?usp=sharing
  12. Okay, thank you!!! Peck out all the way out, correct? to dissipate heat generated.
  13. Sooo, I have to tap with M8x1.25 STI for helicoil inserts. I asked one of the dealer closer to my location and he suggested to use EXo-Form Tap from OSG. OSG 1636000708 We have Ridgid high performance thread cutting fluid. I have DMU from DMG Mori 5 axis machine. Should I try? or leave aside form taps at all and start looking only and only thread cutter options?

  15. Does the Variable Helix Angle matter here? I saw some tooling online they have Titanium as applicable material but have helix defined as variable. Curious, if that helps with cutting Titanium or is it one more selling tactics?
  16. There are many I could fine online on tips and tricks to mill titanium. But I want to hear from Mastercam's programming point of view, what extra precautions I should take while making a program for milling Titanium. Or like any general advice for milling 6Al-4v. This is my first-time milling Titanium, and the best part is that it is also the first time my machinist, milling Titanium in 5Axis machine. So, I wanted to make sure I am not scrapping part or tool. Thank you for your responses in advance!!
  17. THe last second picture above is while doing equal scallop for finishing the floor It did went away. what to do for equal scallop. It does not have microlift (last second pic)
  18. I didnt realize, but here are they... this is what hapeening, though not all the times. Attaching couple pictures here. Sometimes, it's on the surface, sometimes, it's on the wall....
  19. So in a dynamic OptiRoughing, to remove stock from inside the part, while removing the stock, the endmill is colliding with stock! (In mastercam verification), which anyways have to be removed (as it is stock). Should I just ignore that? I have 0.2362" ball endmill with flute length of .75 and I am using about .36 inches of flute length. with radial stepover of 20% as it is 4 flute. My plunge parameter is helix.
  20. It's working. I had to do a lot of overthickness trial and error. Finally, it worked at 0.0009. it took some time lol. however, I can't seem to figure out how to remove that mark between floor and pencil toolpath as shown in the above figure.
  21. inside red circle. I am trying to remove that bump and blending the floor and the radius at bottom of the wall. THank you, I will take a look right away. I never touched overthickness. I will try to increase overthickness. See how it yields. Thank you David, this was really good. Hybrid is taking sooooooo looong to finish. Equal Scallop is half the hybrid time and (here) giving good finish at floor.
  22. It Looks much better now. Thank you!!! One last question.... please refer the picture below. At the end of the very thin tiny wall, at the bottom, there is sharp like edge. THe radii is 0.045" around those walls. Apparently, the curve 5 axis was giving good finish. Pencil or other from 3axis were not working good. So question is how can I remove that sharp edge like thing.
