M36
T28
M37
Before these two lines
T28

any help would be appreciated!
I haven't seen memory buffering ever impact time.I have had 2 gb ram though. Thanks for response JParis I had hoped there was a log file saved somewhere.
that is my thought so far I usually backplot and verify everything. But you would think importing geometry and operation should give same results every time.
I have import library that is fairly extensive. Every once in a while I mean like 1 in 500 programs I will get an operation that will dive to program depth at x0 y0. Then it will generate toolpath that I was intending. To fix I only regenerate operation that has issue and dive goes away. It shows up in backplot and verify. I think it has only happened when I imported geometry with operation. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Hi all,
I noticed that I am generating a regen file. I am curious what this file is for. I am debating deleting or not generating file. What are cons?
Thanks
Thanks for input all, it seems that mastercam X loaded before last update, and then updated works fine. If loaded with latest version directly seems to not have all files. I copied OPMGRDISPLAY.PRM from computers that work and still no fix. For some reason it's not looking for file?
When I right click in my toolpaths window select display options unselect options to change view. Settings will not stay next time I open up mastercam. Anyone know how/where to save display options?
I currently use X MR2 and I like alot. But have heard Cam-Tool is better for hardmilling. I like flexability of mastercam. Ability to do everything in one software and program is big plus for me. Also will mastercam become more precise and smoother in future.
What is advantage of solid over surface. Or surface over solid. I am have heard Cam-Tool is more accurate because of how it calculates toolpath. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thad,
It seems to work really well less things to screw up. In V9 I would open up a file similar to new part delete all entities and bring in new part geometry. I then would pick new geometry and regenerate.
With X I have been utilizing import instead. It would be nice to be able to export some simple geometry into operation library but not all. Also if you could make current tool library active so it would use same tool but if diameters of tool changed would use library values(for 3d toolpaths).
Or if you were running in different machine create new machine group and copy operations into group using tools from machine tool library.I have different posts and rpm's so cannot run same nc file.
Thad,
Sorry gone to lunch.I have a bunch of operation libraries for doing different things like tapped holes. I drill, chamfer, and thread mill. So I import operations into current file and select geometry.
Colin,
Thanks but can't find anything to help. I guess sometimes you just have to select green check.
