I am trying to set my operation defaults but can't access them thru the machine definition. If I go directly thru the control definition, there is a heading for operation defaults at the bottom. But if I set them there, they will not "stick" since I didn't go thru the machine def. If i do go thru the mach def, and control def, there is no heading for operation defaults.
Any help here would be appreciated.
We started using X 3 weeks ago. Its quite a bit to learn, although I haven't worked with mastercam since version 7 so I am not quite as irritated as the rest who made the transition from version 9.
I am getting a constant error message when I send a program to the Haas. It says "port in use by another program", when I know it is not. Also, I am able to send the program successfully after closing the error message.
Whats up with that?
I know about that page. I'm looking for the page that sets the values when you first open the page. When we purchased mastercam, there are some values set in there that were set in the software. I want to be able to set them all to "0". A default page will do that. I could set them in past versions of mastercam.
Well I have been succesfull at most of the new operations and menus in "X". The page or pages I can't find are part of the toolpath menu. I'm looking for the entry/exit page in particular.
The default for mastercam has some values I would like to change to "0". Any help would be appreciated. I could not find anything in the user manual regarding this problem.
I do have a question about a default I cant find.
In making a toolpath, there is a screen for entry/exit with defaults set when it opens. In older versions you could set the defaults that you want coming up every time.
Anyone know where this is?
I appreciate the input on this problem. I spent some time today at work modifying the post and got quite a bit done in a few hours.
I may have also come across a bit harsh and that was not my intention.
I have not had a chance to go over the manual I am still expected to perform well at work even though I am learning this software. I have not worked with mastercam for three years. Level 7 was the last I used mastercam.
Thanks for all your help.
I have been doing the trial and error thing for a week now. Im not impatient, just need a little help. I am in the process of reworking the post so it reads exactly the way I want. I know it will take awhile.
Not sure exactly what my original question was.
I am trying to change the post so the format posts the way I write programs.
G0G90T1M6
G43H1S1000M3
X Y (FIRST HOLE DIMENSION) Z3.M8
G81R.1Z-.05F3.
So far I cant get the h1 not to be h31.
And the first hole dimension is x0 y0
for the second tool the correct hole dimension comes out.
any help on this?
Is there a way to set up mastercam so your specific machine type will come up when mastercam x is opened?
also would like the renumbering to be default so when making tool paths they are auto numbered as you go.
Please help
I copied the original post and changed the name to make my own post. The new post does not have the green check mark that the original post has. How can I change that?
